About

HelloWilson is Rachel Russell. I'm based in East Dulwich, South London, but grew up in Yorkshire. Having done a first degree in English Literature at Oxford University and escaped a career in publishing I returned to my first love of designing things and graduated from Kingston University in Communication Design. I started working for myself full time after returning home from an amazing year in Rome with my archaeologist other half Ben. I haven't looked back since. I love design, being my own boss and the clients that I've had the opportunity to work for. I'm looking forward to developing HelloWilson further in the months and years to come.

My graphic design work includes affordable and well designed logos, modern print, web and brand design all combined with an approachable, friendly and stress-free service. I have also recently branched out into stationery design for weddings and other important events (my new website Paper Arrow Press will launch April 2012) following several requests after doing stationery for my own wedding. I also create illustrations. My heavily patterned illustrations are inspired for the most part by nature, particularly sea creatures. I am especially fond of drawing octopuses while drinking a cup of coffee.

I accept commissions for print, branding, web and wedding design as well as illustration projects.
